Why must everyone steal my name?

Last April I learned that there is an Australian scriptwriter that goes by the name "Xander Bennett" whose twitter account is @xanderbennett and email is xanderbennett at gmail.com. You might be wondering why I care since my name seems to be 'X', but is isn't. The title of this blog is Thoughts from Xander, I just sign with an 'X'.

Now I had maybe wanted to have that twitter account, but no I had to use my alias @artofcheatery and my email is bennett.xander@gmail.com - that's right, he gets all of my improperly addressed emails. Now I got over this because if I ever got published I would use my full name (which I've previously disclosed).

Then I found this kid @ABennettBooks, you see that? That's my name with 'books' on the end! He has a Blogspot with a horrible misspelling of my name too, I assume because some loser already took the correct spelling and abandoned it (that monster). My point is that people need to stop stealing my name!

Okay, I'm done. I need to write a bunch, because unlike my name thief I am not way ahead. (I also haven't done those other things I need to do. You know what I am talking about.)

Viva la Resistance!

freedom and democracy in IranImage by Newsphoto Amsterdam via Flickr
Moving out soon back to "home". This is really the worst time to graduate from college. As usual I blame my parents. I won't be able to live there for very long, mostly because I can't be myself there. It's mostly that while there everything I do is under scrutiny, when I wake up, when I leave the house, when I return, if I'm being "social" (am I in the main room or else where), etc. I don't care for the area and don't have many good memories of the building.

Did I mention I'm allergic to it too? And it's drafty, rickety. It just isn't my home. I'm not sure if I've ever felt like it was my home and I lived there for seventeen years.

Clearly, I need to revolt.

I don't even know where I'm going to put all of my shit. It isn't big enough to hold my parents crap and I've gotten a lot more in the last couple of years.

Damn. My roommates are playing GURPS right now and if you've ever known people who play, you know that they do not have a volume control

And they only just started.

Twittering Against Dragons

I've found that I really enjoy Twitter. I started using it about a week before I started blogging and I only follow famous people, but that only because I don't give a damn about normal people. I started by following the members of MCR, then Wil Wheaton, then Adam Savage... I get random entertaining comments all day. It's something to do.

Today I pressed the "everyone" button (I want everything! wua ha ha ha!) and found the band I Fight Dragons. They aren't that bad and they are obsessed with Nintendo products. They even a a niffy 8-bit game on their Myspace page where you get to slay dragons. It actually gets quite hard after awhile. I totally plan on buying one of their shirts once I have a little less anti-money cause a shirt that says "I Fight Dragons" is just awesome.

Are you learning something about me?

Other than that I actually went to work today, which was a bit more exhausting than I had thought it would be. On the plus side when I signed out I realized it had been a full month since the last time I worked. What was the chance of that!

Now pray for a bit as I have to work tomorrow and go to my friend's show and do all of the work I missed over my trips and illness.

Later,
